HARLOW CHORUS ACADEMY
The Academy is Harlow Chorus’ adult training choir and is open to anyone over 18 who wishes to learn to sing in a choir, or who is returning to singing after a break. You will be given the training to learn new skills, or to brush up your old ones.

Members have a lot of fun learning how to use their voices to best effect, to read music and sing in voice parts. No audition is necessary; the two- year course includes an active element of preparing people who wish to join Harlow Chorus itself.
Harlow Chorus Academy gives at least one concert each year and takes part from time to time in Harlow Chorus concerts and rehearsals where they are offered one-to-one mentoring. Academy members are also invited to join in with social events and singing workshops organised by the Chorus.
The first Academy rehearsal of the 2012/13 season will take place on Monday 17th September 2012.
Musical Director
Harlow Chorus Academy is directed by Janette Ruocco. Janette is a highly experienced vocal animateur who has developed training programmes for aspiring singers of all ages.
She is Vocal and Choral Development Manager for Essex Music Services and also directs Bocca Aperta, Braintree Choral Society, Coggeshall Camerata, Illumination and The Meljon Singers.
