Michael KibblewhiteHarlow Chorus was founded in 1975 by Michael Kibblewhite, known as one of the most charismatic choral directors in the U.K. Sarah Tenant-Flowers, also a leading choral director of her generation, took over as Musical Director in 1996 and then became President of the Chorus.

Daniel Hyde, spent two successful seasons with us before leaving to take up post as Informator Choristarum at Magdalen College, Oxford. The musical directorship then passed to Alexander Chaplin who lead the Chorus for 8 wonderful seasons and who recently had to reluctantly resign for personal reasons.

We are pleased to announce that Edward-Rhys Harry has taken the reins as our new Musical Director.

Our accompanist, Sue Graham Smith of some 25 years resigned from Harlow Chorus in December, due to family committments. She will be sorely missed and was a tredemdous force to be reckoned with.

Richard Balcombe is currently standing in as our accompanist while we go through the recruitment stages to replace Sue.
